Track work on the shop floor

What this does

Records each piece moving through the stations — cutting, welding, assembly, glazing — by scanning its label.

Before you start

  • Piece labels are printed and attached.

Steps

  1. 01
    Open the shop floor screen at your station — it works on a phone or tablet.
  2. 02
    Scan the piece label when work starts.
  3. 03
    Scan again when the piece leaves your station.
  4. 04
    Supervisors see live progress per order and per station.

Common mistakes

  • Scanning a batch at the end of the day — the timing data becomes useless for spotting the slow station; scan as you go.
