Apply a pricelist or discount

What this does

Applies customer-specific pricing to a quotation, so negotiated rates are systematic instead of typed by hand.

Before you start

  • The pricelist exists under Sales configuration.

Steps

  1. 01
    On the quotation, open the Other Info tab.
  2. 02
    Select the pricelist — line prices recompute immediately.
  3. 03
    For a one-off discount, edit the discount column on the line instead.
  4. 04
    Check the margin before sending.

Common mistakes

  • Typing a special price over the unit price — it is invisible to reporting and lost on the next reprice; use the discount column or a pricelist rule.
