Window & Door Design
Set frame dimensions and sashes
What this does
Defines the overall frame size and splits it into fixed and opening sashes — the geometry every cut length and glass size derives from.
Before you start
- Site measurements are confirmed — the drawing follows the survey, not the other way round.
Steps
-
01
Enter the outer frame width and height in millimetres.
-
02
Split the opening with mullions and transoms where the design needs them.
-
03
Mark each area as fixed or opening, and set the opening direction.
-
04
Check the preview — hinges and handles draw on the opening side.
Common mistakes
- Entering centimetres — the designer works in millimetres; a 120 entry makes a 12 cm window, not 1.2 m.
