Window & Door Design

Set frame dimensions and sashes

1 min read Updated 2026-08-13 WindoorERP 19.0

What this does

Defines the overall frame size and splits it into fixed and opening sashes — the geometry every cut length and glass size derives from.

Before you start

  • Site measurements are confirmed — the drawing follows the survey, not the other way round.

Steps

  1. 01
Enter the outer frame width and height in millimetres.
  2. 02
Split the opening with mullions and transoms where the design needs them.
  3. 03
Mark each area as fixed or opening, and set the opening direction.
  4. 04
Check the preview — hinges and handles draw on the opening side.

Common mistakes

  • Entering centimetres — the designer works in millimetres; a 120 entry makes a 12 cm window, not 1.2 m.
